In the footsteps of Moses to the Promised Land
EGYPT / JORDAN / ISRAEL - 11 nights and 12 days

Day 1.
Arrival in Cairo; Transfer to the hotel; Reception, relaxation and dinner.
" I am God, the God of thy father; fear not to go down to Egypt " (Gen 46: 3-4)
Day 2.
City tour of Cairo. The three pyramids of Khufu (Cheops) Kephren and Mycerinus; the Sphinx at Giza and the Egyptian Museum Return to the hotel and dinner
"Afterward Moses and Aaron went in and told Pharaoh, "Thus says the Lord God of Israel: 'Let My people go, that they may hold a feast to me in the wilderness." (Ex 5:1)
Day 3.
After breakfast, visit to Khan El Khalili Bazaar and departure from Cairo following the steps of the Hebrews in the Exodus guided by Moses; drive through the Sinai peninsula, crossing the Suez Canal and arriving to Mount Sinai. Dinner and overnight in the region
"Instead, God led the people a roundabout way through the desert of the Sea of Reeds. The Israelites left Egypt fully armed." (Ex 13: 18)
Day 4.
Before dawn, ascend Mount Sinai for a prayer by Sunset. This is the mountain on which the Lord spoke to Moses and gave him the Tables of the Law. On by the desert routes, up to Nuweiba From there crossing the Red Sea by ferry while facing the red mountains of Edom before landing in the Jordanian Kingdom at the Gulf of Aqaba. Continue on to the land of the people of Edom, Ammon and Moab, nations of the Bible whom stood in Moses' way to the Promised Land. Drive to Petra, the capital of the Nabateans since the 3rd century B.C. Accommodation and dinner in Petra.
"And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, "Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep, and do them. The Lord our God made a covenant with us in Horeb". (Deut 5:1-2)
"And he put garrisons in Edom. In all Edom he put garrisons, and all the Edomites became servants to David. And the Lord helped David wherever he went." (2 Sam 8:14)
Day 5.
In the morning, visit to the main sites in Petra sculptured in the red rock, with its tombs, monuments and huge constructions. Continue on to Amman, the capital of Jordan, the ancient capital of Ammonites, sons of Ammon, defeated by King David's army. Sightseeing the city, accommodation in the hotel and dinner.
"And when the children of Ammon saw that the Syrians were fled; then fled they also before Abishai, and entered into the city. So Joab returned from the children of Ammon, and came to Jerusalem." (2 Sam 10:14)
"And the Lord spoke unto Moses that selfsame day, saying: Get thee up into this mountain Abarim, unto mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is over against Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession. And die in the mount whither thou goest up, and be gathered unto thy people; as Aaron thy brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people."(Deut 32:48-50).
Day 6.
Drive to Mount Nebo, from where Moses saw the Land of Milk and Honey, and where he remained, without entering the Promised Land. Continue directly to Israel, entering the country over the Jordan River, as Joshua did in command of the Jewish people. Drive through the Judean desert to visit the fortress of Masada. Dip in the Dead Sea, with its salty waters, where Sodom and Gomorrah once stood. Drive via Ein Gedi, where Saul pursued David and pass near Qumran, where the famous manuscripts of the Esseens were found, among them the complete book of the Prophet Isaiah as many others.

Day 7.
Drive to Bethlehem, birthplace of Jesus. On the way, a visit to Rachel's Tomb, Jacob's wife Visit to the Center for Bible Studies, to recreate the Passover Supper and other fascinating explanations of the Bible. Drive on to Lazarus' tomb and mansion in the village of Betania, near Mount of Olives, and the Garden of Gethsemane. Enter the walled city of Jerusalem, Ascend the Temple Mount, the Moriah, the site to which Abraham was summoned to sacrifice his son Isaac, today the Western Wall.
Visit to the Wall's archaeological excavations, with the original stairs that led to the Temple. Return to the hotel and dinner.
Day 8.
Drive to the Garden Tomb, where the Lord's Supper will be recreated through Communion. View of the Golgotha Hill, where Jesus was crucified Continue to Mount Zion, to see King David's Tomb and the Cenacle, site of the Last Supper and the descent of the Holy Ghost. A tour of the new city, with the scaled model of Jerusalem in the days of Jesus Visit to the Holocaust Memorial and the great Menorah near the Knesset Visit to Jerusalem's Great Synagogue Return to the hotel and dinner
Day 9.
Drive from Jerusalem to the North, towards Jericho, conquered by Joshua after its walls fell down to the sound of the trumpets of the Hebrews. We recall that here, Jesus healed the blind man and spent the night at Zakeas'. Visit to the Elisha's spring. Panoramic view of Mount of Temptation, where Jesus was tempted by the Devil
Tabgha, site of the miracle of the Bread and Fish. Capernaum, the ruins of Peter's house and the Synagogue where Jesus prayed and preached. Return to Tiberias. Accommodation and dinner
Day 10.
Baptism in the Jordan River waters Boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus calmed the storm and walked upon the waters. Drive on to the Upper Galilee, site of Caesarea Filippos and the main source of the Jordan River, river Banias. We are on the hillside of Mount Hermon, by the Syrian border also mentioned in Psalm 133 as the most likely site of the Transfiguration of Jesus. Visit to a kibbutz, to discover this typical lifestyle created and maintained only in the State of Israel. Return to Tiberias and dinner.
Day 11.
Drive to Nazareth passing Cana, site were the first miracle of Jesus was performed. Continue to Megiddo (Armageddon), the scene of the Final Judgment war as told in Apocalypse 16. Facing Valley of Jezreel, site of the earliest battles of the Jewish people against its enemies. Here the soldiers of Jabin were defeated in their confrontation with Deborah and Gideon. Drive on to Mount Carmel, site of Prophet Elias' actions, who defeated the prophets of Baal at the place where the city of Haifa today stands. Continue along the Via Maris, visit to Caesarea, Maritima Augusta, visited by Cornelius the Centurion, the first gentile to be converted by Peter. Drive on to Tel Aviv and visit Jaffa where Peter had the vision of the Impure Animals at the house of Simon the Tanner by the sea. There he resuscitated young Dorcas. Arrival at the hotel and farewell dinner with distribution of diplomas
Day 12.
Morning free and departure to Ben Gurion International Airport Assistance in embarking formalities
